A lighting system for Touchdown and Lift-Off (TLOF) area must be present in every heliport where night operations are conducted.

TLOF lighting system is composed by green omnidirectional lights located on the TLOF boundaries: minimum of 14 lights for round areas or minimum 4 lights for square areas (maximum distance between beacons must not exceed 3 meters).

CDT TLOF-INSET Light, mono-LED type, has been designed to be a compact, lightweight and low-consumption product; it can be easily installed and a balance of patented optics, electronics and mechanical components make this device the most reliable, high-quality and low-cost LED INSET perimeter light available on the market.

This newly redesigned Inset perimeter light is the latest addition to the CDT line of high quality LED lights. Perimeter lights are one of the most important safety features on your helipad. They are used to mark and illuminate the FATO and TLOF as well as to help the pilot locate the pad and safely land during night operations and inclement weather conditions. The Inset Perimeter Light is used in place of an elevated helipad perimeter light at locations where the lights are frequently knocked down by aircraft and or maintenance vehicles. These lights are strong enough to drive over.

An overhead power line is a structure used in electric power transmission and distribution to transmit electrical energy along large distances.
