ICAO Medium-intensity Type A obstacle lights indicate the presence of a tower supporting overhead wires. And the lights are usually located at three levels: at the top of the tower, at the lowest level of the centenary of the wires or cables, and at approximately midway between these two levels.
Medium-intensity type A obstacle lights on towers supporting overhead wires should have a daytime intensity of not less than 20000 cd. The intensity of the lights should decrease to 2000 cd at night through the use of a photocell control.
The middle level should flash first, the top level flashes second and the bottom level flashes last. The interval between the flashing of the top level and the bottom level should be approximately twice the interval between the middle level and the top level. The interval between the end of one sequence and the beginning of the next should be about ten times the interval between the middle level and the top level.
And the custom packaged solar kit on the base of the tower, with a self-contained power supply system comprising photovoltaic solar cells, batteries, control equipment, cable and accessories. The size of the battery and solar panel depends on the latitude and longitude, with an initial capacity of the battery of more than 7 days of autonomy and ensuring maximum unattended operation with minimal maintenance.
