What are the red lights on buildings for? #building #aviation #safety #obstructionlight #aircraftwarninglight

Aircraft occasionally fly into the ground and very occasionally fly into buildings and structures. Aeronautical Ground Lights (AGL) can help pilots see buildings sooner and hence reduce the risk of aircraft flying into them. So, for high structures, skyscrapers, high-rise buildings, tall buildings and residential towers either temporary or permanent, which has the potential to endanger aviation in navigable airspace or has the potential to interfere with the operation of navigation, should be lighted with aviation obstruction lights in compliance with ICAO Annex 14 regulations.

Night Marking Red Obstruction Light System for Transmission Tower

ICAO compliant MIOL red flashing solar obstruction lights are an integrated solution including a high-efficiency LED light source, solar panels and battery. In remote areas, where 110V or 220V is not available except at extremely high cost, solar-powered FAA & ICAO obstruction lights have become the preferred and often necessary solution for marking utility transmission towers, telecom towers, wind farm testing, airports, and other tall structures. Tapping into solar energy is simpler and greener, saves money, and keeps lights off the grid. The system is designed as a compact, all-in-one solar system, completely self contained for easy installation. The high efficiency, compact design provides end users with a lightweight, maintenance free power solution, requiring minimal surface area for installation. The system is ideal for remote airstrips where hard-wired infrastructure is unavailable.
