When building and maintaining a wind farm, there are safety standards to be met on ‘air traffic safety’. Often these standards mandate the use of Aviation Obstruction Lighting systems to visually mark tall structures, such as wind farms.
ICAO MIOL medium intensity type A and HIOL high intensity type B, flashing white day/night marking, with solar autonomous power supply (i.e. obstruction lights, photovoltaic cells, storage batteries and control equipment), designed to ensure maximum unattended operation with minimal maintenance.
