Backgroud

The customer required an ICAO compliant day/night marking warning light system for transmission towers across the Tibet. The system needed to be low-cost, quick and easy to install and completely self-contained with an integrated power supply 
A low-maintenance lighting system was also needed that wouldn’t require constant repairs or component replacement and that would run reliably for many years with minimal operator intervention. If maintenance was required however, the light fixtures or their components needed to be easily replaced without interrupting or effecting the tower’s operation or the performance of the lights on other towers close by.

The obstruction light is supported with solar panel, the battery supplied would be able to maintain the maximum luminous flux under the condition of dusty solar cells. The battery maintenance interval would not less than 10 years minimum . Photovoltaic panel output would be derated, over and above age de-rating, by 40%, on account of dust accumulation on the panel surface. The upper edges of the solar panels would be fitted with stainless steel needle strips, effectively preventing birds from sitting in these locations.

An overhead power line is a structure used in electric power transmission and distribution to transmit electrical energy along large distances. Aircraft warning sphere warning marker balls for power lines

Aviation obstruction marking sphere is designed to provide daytime visual warning or nighttime visual warning if comes with reflective tape, for electricity transmission line and overhead wire for aircraft pilots, especially cross river high voltage transmission lines.   When you are flying, the conductors and skyline become almost invisible against the terrain—especially the skyline  wires . The colored plastic balls hanging on overhead electricity wires are called aerial marker balls, and they are installed along the length of wires to act as a visual warning so low-flying aircraft don’t run into them. They're called visibility marker balls or marker balls.  You'll often find them near mountain passes, in the deep valley areas, near major freeway crossings and around airports.
